Excerpt/First Sentence(s): The armored soldiers dragged Aja Killian through the black gates of the castle, down a long, echoing corridor and into a huge - but nearly empty - room. At the far end of the great chamber, a thin, black-clad man stood next to a large wooden throne. The soldiers hauled Aja across the cold marble floor and slammed her to the ground in front of the man. "Kneel before King Hruth!" shouted one of the guards.
